Description

The idea for this geocoin started early January 2020 when the Belgian Geocoin Association (BGA) for their Community Celebration Event planned to be held on May 3rd, 2020 when 20 years earlier the first geocache was placed by Dave Ulmer.

The BGA and some of its members were also awarded Adventure Lab caches and we aimed to publish these during that event. The plan was to use the famous Street Art of Berchem as the theme for the event. We spoke with the street artist SMOK (see at www.smok.im) and he agreed that we use 2 of his street art works for the design of the coin. The coin would be a kind of souvenir coin that people could acquire when completing the street art works route of Berchem.

Unfortunately for well known reasons that event was cancelled.

The coin is 48 mm in diameter and 4 mm thick. Both sides are protected with an epoxy layer.
